We support your research and development across academia, industry, and government using over 1,100 shared facilities registered by 25 universities and research institutes nationwide that make up ARIM. Our advanced facility includes electron microscopes that can observe atomic-level sizes, nuclear magnetic resonance devices that analyze the structure of compounds, and mass spectrometers that measure ion mass, all of which accelerate research and development.
If you want to consult about the use of facility:
- Please send your inquiry through the "Technical Support/Facility Use Inquiry" form.
- An ARIM operations staff member will guide you to the appropriate implementing institute and facility based on your request.
- Providing detailed information when making your inquiry will enable us to respond promptly.
If you have decided which facility to use:
- Please use the "Facility Search" on this site to find and display the facility you want to inquire about.
- From the detailed information page of each piece of facility displayed in the search results, send your inquiry through the "Inquire about this facility" form.
- The person in charge of the facility will contact you with guidance.

Regarding the usage fees for facility:
- Usage fees are set for each piece of facility.
- Rates vary depending on the user's affiliation (university, corporation, etc.), usage type (Equipment Operation by users/Technical Assistance/Operation on behalf of users/Research Collaboration), and whether data provision is included.
- For specific rates and payment details, please refer to the homepage of the institute where the facility is installed.

- If the data obtained from using the facility is not registered, the usage fee will be increased.
Regarding the report after using the facility:
- After using the facility, please submit a "User's Reports" by the end of the fiscal year in which the facility was used.
- The user's reports will be published on this site, where it can be freely viewed, searched, and downloaded.
- It is also possible to choose a publication delay of up to 2 years. If you wish to request a publication delay, please consult with the institute where the facility was used.
