NAIST Nanotechnology Platform
(Nara Institute of Science and Technology(NAIST))
The aim of the NAIST Nanotechnology Platform (NP) is to establish the flexible shared-use of high level materials-synthesis nanotechnology and related tools-developed at the NAIST Materials Science Education and Research Center-for researchers and research groups from industry, government, and academia, under collaboration with Nanotechnology Platform member institutes.
About this institute
NAIST is a leader in industry-academia collaboration and research in Japan, and the NAIST NP offers flexible support for cutting-edge research and development in molecular and materials synthesis. The nine state of the art analytical tools listed below form the base of the NAIST NP. With an additional twenty experimental tools available, the NAIST NP offers users wide scope for multifaceted studies of molecules and polymers, as well as the development of nano-scale fabrication processes of organic/inorganic semiconductor materials and dielectric materials. The NAIST NP also supports innovative research and development in medical drug discoveries and testing in life sciences, as well as energy and information-related technology. Moreover, the NAIST NP enables collaborative research with the faculty from the NAIST Graduate School of Materials Science, and young researchers from all over world. With highly skilled technicians, professors, and collaboration managers, the NAIST NP offers complete support for users' research and development.
